Rotohog, a provider of fantasy sports leagues, will be launching League Manager and Cash League games to complement their Stock Exchange game. The new leagues will be launching soon, next week to be exact, just in time for fantasy football season.
The Stock Exchange game has been immensely popular for Rotohog, becoming the company’s calling card. The idea of tying the value of players to a stock market isn’t necessarily new, but Rotohog is only site I know that has fantasy leagues based on this concept. I see it as an improved version of the salary cap game, although you can play the game within the league setting. The great aspect of the stock market for players is that the community determines the value of players through the buying, selling and trading of players.
Rotohog is now prepared to launch both League Manager and Cash Leagues. I spoke with Scott Philp, Senior VP of Business Development and Marketing, and he was excited about offering these new options for current users of Rotohog’s Stock Exchange game and new users as well. Philp described the League Manager as “best of breed”, a commissioner-style game with several features: stat-tracking, multiple divisions, options for league set ups (such as have teams of all defensive players), draft and other options. This service costs $35 and it’s worth taking a look at if you haven’t signed up for leagues yet.
The Cash Leagues are for those who want to put their money where their mouth is. You can choose to play through the Stock Exchange or League Manager set-ups and with entry fees from $10 to $500. You ballers out there can test your luck in the Master League which has a grand prize of $10,000 and allows 144 entries.
Once these leagues are up and running, we can provide you with more of a detailed review of these new fantasy football league options on Rotohog.
