Fantasy sports is so big these days even large, popular newspapers like the New York Times are covering them. This week, the New York Times NFL blog, The Fifth Down(name) allowed fantasy football blogger Sara Holladay (aka Fantasy Football Librarian) some shine on their site. And yes, Ms. Holladay is actually a university librarian who is hooked on fantasy football. Now that is a true representation of the “voice of the fan”!
Here are a list of the articles and links for your reading pleasure:
Getting Hooked on Fantasy Football - The librarian recalls how she got into fantasy football, and blogging about it.
How Accurate Were They in 2007? We all wonder how accurate the “experts” are at predicting an NFL season and fantasy performance in particular. She breaks down her analysis of who was right and why.
Drafting Dress Rehearsal - a look at NFL drafts, the Combine and how other players in the past looked and were regarded before they reached NFL and fantasy success.
Free Agency, and Turning the Page - keep on track of free agency and head to the bookstore to study up!
Some good information for sure and it’s nice to see fantasy football get some love in the NYC in the NYT! Alright enough with the acronyms, have a great weekend everone.
