Coke Zero has teamed up with the NCAA and is offering four lucky fans the opportunity of a college basketball lifetime. It’s not some random contest either. If you’re a college hoops enthusiast then you have shot, all you need to do is apply!
This is your chance to spend 24/7 in TV-viewing lockdown - and get rewarded for it. No 4.0 grade point averages needed. Only die-hard fans with unbridled passion and enthusiasm for everything college hoops need to submit their resumes for this opportunity of a lifetime.
It’s good to see mainstream entities recognizing the importance of the fan. I’ve always thought that the voice of the fan is the most captivating and based on this contest Coke thinks so too. They could have created some lame promotion online where you signup blindly to win something but they actually put some thought into it and developed something worthwhile.
The promotion is also the culmination of a season-long push for Coke Zero centering on TV ads during the NCAA season. The ads have a “Never back down” theme, which this promotion elaborates: the winners are chosen on the basis of their devotion to basketball
I’m tempted to apply for this position myself. If nothing else I hear the food in San Antonio is really good!
