STATS, LLC, the leading sports information provider, has announced a joint venture to expand its reach into soccer in Europe by teaming up with industry-experts Warner Leach and JHB Publications.

STATS Europe will provide UK and European football fans with live data, editorial, photos, statistics and fantasy game coverage. The Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga, Eredivisie, UEFA, Champions Leagues, many other European football leagues, and major country cup competitions will be covered initially, with extensive coverage of other sports to follow.

STATS is already a partner to most of the professional sports leagues in the United States, and provides real-time and historic statistics for fantasy football and baseball for fantasy players.

This appears to be a very shrewd move for STATS, and since they have a foothold in the fantasy sports landscape in the U.S., to get into the market for the world’s most popular sport in a huge market such as Europe would be a huge boon for them.
