Fantasy college basketball hasn’t quite hit the mainstream yet, because the structure of college basketball itself conflicts with the current infrastructure of fantasy sports leagues. The folks at Profantasysports.com wrote an interesting article called, “The state of fantasy college basketball,” overviewing solutions for three main problems every fantasy college basketball league has to face:
Problem #1: Too many players
Problem #2: Information on teams from small conferences is hard to find
Problem #3: The balance the scheduling, some leagues like to double and triple their weekly matchups
Understanding these problems is key to catalyzing the growth and adoption of fantasy college basketball by players and sports media companies. Check out a few solutions proposed by Perry Missner of Profantasysports.com.
