Sports Illustrated has announched that their new video portal for the upcoming NFL Draft, FilmRoom, will be powered by Gotuit. Gotuit has developed a metadeta video search technology that allows users to search within videos for specific content.
Highlights will be searchable by player, school, position, mock draft order and actual draft order or by NFL team. Gotuit will also be able to provide instant access to a particular part of a video highlight, such as touchdowns, interceptions, and stats. These searches can even be conducted while the video is playing, allowing users to create an ongoing playlist without delay. After the draft, new playlists will be created for each player based on the actual NFL draft order.
Football and fantasy football fans will now have an unprecedented look at this year’s NFL draft picks, making it a bit easier to pinpoint rookie sleepers and busts.
